Patrick-Yves Badillo

 

Patrick-Yves Badillo is Professor at the Université de la Méditerranée – Aix-Marseille II and Director and founder of IRSIC (Research Institute on Information and Communication Science of Aix-Marseille) and former Director (1997-2008) of the « Ecole de Journalisme et de Communication de Marseille » (EJCM). He obtained an M.S. in Economics, Econometrics/Statistics from the Université de la Méditerranée Aix Marseille II, and an M.S. in Telecommunications from the Université de Paris IX Dauphine. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1987 in the field of the Theory of Innovation from Université de Paris I La Sorbonne. He first worked at France Télécom - Centre National d'Études des Télécommunications (CNET), as head of studies attached to the General Director of the CNET for Engineering and Economic Studies in the field of New Technologies (videocommunication networks, audiovisual industry and satellite systems). After his success at the « Agrégation des Facultés de Droit et des Sciences Économiques » in 1988, he had various responsibilities at the University. Since 2000 he has also been a Professor in Information and Communication Science. He is in charge of the Master in "Information and Communication".
